You can always count on the O2 Institute to bring a huge variety of live music and shows for all tastes – some of the artists coming up include Lordi (Tuesday 2nd), Caity Baser (Friday 5th), overpass (Saturday 6th), Jon Pardi (Saturday 20th) and Olivia Dean (Monday 29th).

Sound Healing & Self Expression Group

This monthly class at The Zen Shop will introduce you to a number of different forms of sound healing and meditations, including shamanic drumming, singing bowls, mantras/chants, tuning forks and more!

This starts with learning different elemental rhythms and how to enhance your inner beat and vibration.

Other workshops coming up this April include reiki, numerology, understanding the planets, herbal crafting and botanical poison magic.

The Birmingham Gaming Market is BACK for 2024 at Factory Works, with exhibitors all bringing the best retro games, computers, consoles, handhelds, artwork, apparel, import games, arcade games, merchandise and more!

They’ve also announced that they’ll be partnering with retro books publisher Bitmap Books for their 2024 events; other traders include Console Passion, Allan’s JGRS, RichKingRetro, The Retro Dojo, Retro Modzz and more.

Egan’s Comedy Club x Mama Roux’s

Comedy is coming to Mama Roux’s – and they’re launching with a bang with an unmissable line-up including Dane Baptiste (Live at the Apollo), Joe Sutherland (Comedy Central), Cassandra Maria (10 million views online) and Lovell Smith (Guz Khan tour support).

That’s not the only newness at Mama’s, as the famous Sounds Familiar Music Quiz will be playing every first Thursday of the month, starting on Thursday 5th April. It’s the combination of your favourite playlist and the best party you’ve ever been to!

Childish Gambino Live Reinterpretation Tour

Childish Gambino is coming to Digbeth – but in a way you’ve never seen before! The Childish Gambino ‘Awaken, My Love! Live Re-Interpretation Tour sees Sheffield 8-piece jazz-funk ensemble Dreamflower Collective reinterpret this iconic album.

Also this April at XOYO is The Official After Party hosted by Bryson Tiller (Saturday 13th), CNTRL X HEVI Presents: The Link Up – Roof Garden Day Party (Saturday 27th) and so much more.

Catch a vibe at The Reggae Brunch this April, promising “the craziest brunch party” you’ve been to! Join them for their party only experience, or add their brand new 2 course Caribbean meal to your experience – and of course, a bottomless rum punch hour!

Dubøka’s first event of 2024 is almost here, and it’s one you want to be at! Across TWO venues in the heart of Digbeth for an 11 hour showcase, expect a massive line-up including Silat Beksi, Raz and Hish, along with supporting artists Elliott Rankin, Mark Birch and Josh Birch.

Birmingham’s original LGBTQIA+ stand-up comedy night is back and ready to showcase the UK’s best queer comedy! This includes Cycki Brokat, Birmingham’s absurdist drag queen, Ciara, winner of Queer Comedy Club’s Gag Race and Gareth Williams, who featured on the BBC New Comedy Awards shortlist.

The Chase is on in Digbeth! Yes, TV quiz legend the Dark Destroyer, aka Shaun Wallace, is back by popular demand at The Old Crown, testing your general knowledge with the chance to win amazing prizes.

Another event making its way to the city is Latino Fest, with 2 rooms of DJs playing for 600+ Latin music lovers!

Room 1 will see the best in reggaeton, Latin pop, baile funk, dembow and guaracha, such as Daddy Yankee, Maluma, J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Rosalia, Becky G and more, whilst room 2 is all about bachata, salsa and merengue, e.g. Carlos Vives, Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz and more.

Independent Liverpool-based record label Big Condo Records is coming down to Digbeth, bringing their signed roster artists to deliver a supreme experience for the fans and acts! Expect live performances from Zenith, with support from Paradise Sins, Charlotte Young Band, Pink Suits and Early Doors.
