Drinks

Take a look at some of the best bars in Birmingham, all found here in Digbeth…

Old Crown (56) – you can say you’ve had a drink in Digbeth’s oldest pub if you go to The Old Crown, dating back to 1368! They also host plenty of events and quizzes, and alongside their usual menu you’ll also find street food traders paying a visit. 

Autobrew (53) – another unique Digbeth hotspot is Autobrew, the UK’s first self-service bar and cafe! On their tap wall you’ll find ales, lagers, stouts and ciders, as well as cocktails, wines, spirits and hot and cold soft drinks.

Dead Wax (63) – beer, vinyl and pizza – name a more iconic trio! Dead Wax is also a must-visit for its weekly live music events, including upcoming Metal Night and Pop Punk Night. 

Zumhof Biergarten (70) – bringing the spirit of Berlin to Birmingham, Zumhof Biergarten has a buzzing beer garden and indoor venue, with food from Chatty Patty and Peacer, tap bier and haus cocktails, and events like Oktoberfest!

Hennesseys (4) – don’t miss any big sporting events – head to Hennesseys, where there’s over 20 screens in 5 rooms and in their heated garden bar! They also offer food, with 50% off their entire menu between Mondays-Thursdays when purchasing a soft or alcoholic drink.

Sobremesa (31) – tucked away in the Custard Factory Courtyard, Sobremesa packs a punch in its eccentrically styled bar. Along with their drink selection, they also serve Pieminister pies, with a special deal of a pie, pint and packet of crisps for £12.50.

Games

Show off your competitive side with these Digbeth must-visits…

NQ64 (30)  – grab a retro cocktail and tokens to play some of the most iconic arcade games, including Guitar Hero, Mortal Kombat, Pac-Man, Dance Dance Revolution and even Nintendo Gamecube for Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart. 

Roxy Lanes (74) – Roxy brings the playground the bar, with American pool, basketball, beer pong, ping pong, shuffleboard, ten pin bowling and live sport, all under one roof in their Digbeth location!

The Floodgate (24) – another of Digbeth’s famous activity bars is The Floodgate, bringing you bleachers baseball, pit pat table golf, curl club curling, raceway and arcade games, all with cocktails and street food!

Chance & Counters (29) – challenge your mates with over 600 games to choose from at Digbeth’s board game cafe! Open for both daytime and nighttime gaming, you can quench your thirst with a range of alcoholic and soft drinks, along with a menu of burgers, loaded fries and wings.

Shopping

Red Brick Market (26) – providing an independent shopping experience like no other, Red Brick Market’s independent traders and makers will help you stand out with their sustainable fashion, homeware, gifts, accessories and more. 

Cow Vintage (9) – the UK’s number one vintage shop is right here in Digbeth, and you know you’ll find something special with their branded, reworked and vintage sportswear!

Ideal Skateboard Supply (38) – bringing the best of skateboarding to Digbeth since 1991, Ideal Skateboard Supply have you covered for hardware, clothing, footwear and accessories. 

Bene Culture (36) – the coolest Birmingham-based streetwear label, Bene Culture has a store right here in Digbeth – keep an eye out for drops, restocks and even events with live music, DJs and food pop-ups. 

Doctor Oculus (45) – if you need to refresh your specs but want to make it sustainable, check out Doctor Oculus with their eco-friendly, high-quality eyewear – just bring your own prescription! They even offer a repair and refurb service.

Something different

The Mockingbird (32) – whether you’re into the latest blockbusters or an independent film experience, it’s all covered at Digbeth’s independent cinema! All tickets are just £6.95 between Monday-Wednesday too, perfect for a midweek movie trip.

DJ Gym (39) – learn to DJ alongside your studies at their Digbeth studio! Whether you’re a novice or want to advance your skills further, you can find the perfect course for you with 1-to-1 learning and flexible scheduling. 

CrossFit Digbeth (19) – if you want to take your exercise to the next level, choose a membership at CrossFit Digbeth – crossfit incorporates the best elements of weightlifting, cardio and gymnastics, designed for people of all ages and fitness levels. 

Street art tour – Digbeth is known for its street art, with new pieces popping up on our streets regularly from Birmingham’s best street artists! Take a tour of our street art and find the perfect shot to share on your Instagram – check out our blog here for a few must-visit spots.

The Bond – The Bond is a creative content hub for the Midlands – ‘Late Night Lycett’ on Channel 4 was even filmed here! There’s also regular events and markets hosted here – coming up is Oktober Food Fest, Independent Birmingham Festival and more!
