Digbeth’s Kilo Ziro was shortlisted for the “Sustainable Bar of the Year” award!
Kilo Ziro opened its doors in March 2022 – becoming the UK’s First Zero Waste Cafe Bar & Refillery.

From the brains behind The Clean Kilo Zero Waste Shop and situated in the original flagship site – 1 Gibb Street, their ethos is to reduce packaging, support quality eco-friendly brands and champion local producers.
Their sustainable victory’s were what helped them to receive a nomination for this award, they include; ‘ZIRO’ wine bottles disposed by using refillable kegs on their wine wall with artisan wine supplier Borough Wines, ‘ZIRO’ coffee bags binned by using a 7kg circular container with local roastery Hundred House Coffee, and ‘ZIRO’ crips packed binned by returnable 1.5kg buckets in collaboration with local crisp producer Just Crisps.
